The statue of Boudicca in Cardiff gives her her ancient British name "Buddug", preserved in the modern Welsh for 'Victory'. Many Welsh towns have streets now called "Buddug Strwd" Victoria Street, an accidental nation-wide homage to that previous Queen Victoria definitely remembered in white marble between Celtic daughters in the capital.

A Norman monk, writing up her story in Latin from the point of view of her Roman enemies (presenting her as an hysterical female like their view of that other 'deviant' Head of State Cleopatra), misspelled it as Boadicea, losing all meaning. The names listed in this track are examples of how the name has been garbled until the later 20C reclaimed 'Boudicca'.
